Let’s take a more detailed look at some of Resveratrol’s powerful effects on the body…

The Brain – Dementia and Mental Functions

In November 2008, researchers at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University reported that Resveratrol significantly reduced plaque formation in the brain, a component of Alzheimers. They feel that oral doses of Resveratrol may reduce plaque associated with aging changes in the brain. (15)

Heart Disease

Resveratrol has been found to improve cardiovascular performance, prevent the absorption of copper (copper deficiency is a potential cause of heart failure), help maintain the heart’s oxygen supply, prevent the buildup of plaque in the arteries and stop the constriction of blood vessels.(5)

Cholesterol

Resveratrol has also been found to neutralize “bad” LDL cholesterol while increasing “good” HDL cholesterols, which would reduce plaque build up in arteries which leads to heart attacks. (4)

Cancer

A 2008 study by researchers at the University of Nebraska suggest that Resveratrol may have some preventative benefits against breast cancer by disrupting the initial step that occurs when estrogen begins the process leading to cancer.

Researchers found that Resveratrol inhibits the growth of many types of cancer cells, including Leukemia, skin and prostate cancers, and reduces the incidence of tumors. Resveratrol has the potential to act as an alternative to synthetic hormone replacement therapy, which is known to increase the risk of breast cancer. (6, 7)

Cardiovascular System

Some studies suggest that the antioxidant properties of Resveratrol decreases the “stickiness” of platelets that form blood clots. (12)

Poor Diet

Resveratrol was found to counteract the life threatening effects of a high-fat diet by confronting and fighting 144 out of 153 gene pathways that had been altered by a high-fat diet. (2)

Diabetes

Scientists at the Peninsula Medical School in England discovered that Resveratrol protects blood vessels from cell damage which typically result from high glucose levels associated with Diabetes. It is the hope of many researchers that Resveratrol has the potential to greatly improve the treatment of Diabetes.

Weight Loss

When we diet or restrict the amount of calories we consume a natural reaction in our body is to activate Gene 31, our survival gene, which breaks down stored fat and increases energy levels. Numerous studies have shown that Resveratrol does the exact same thing.(18) Including Resveratrol as a supplement just may assist weightloss efforts, but without the diet. Weight loss and calorie restriction have also been proven effective against anti-aging, meaning if we take Resveratrol we may look healthier and feel younger.

Lowered Blood Sugar

A new study suggests that the Resveratrol can affect the enzymes involved in regulating glucose (blood sugar), and therefore could be an important component to maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. (11)

Increase Quality and Length of Life

Multiple studies have found that Resveratrol can extend the life span of certain cells in our bodies by as much as 70%. Its ability to replicate the effects of calorie restriction, to boost the immune system and prevent a variety of diseases are all indicators that Resveratrol may play a huge role in increasing life span and quality of life. (18)

It all started around 2008 when the 1st PRO212 team was created. That team shared a common goal unrelated to sports although we all loved and had an interest them.

Fast forward to June of 2008 and a car accident. I was sitting at a red light waiting for the light to change when I was hit. This was the beginning of a healing process that involved my left shoulder, neck, the area right between my shoulder blades and lower back. Pain & not fun! Prior to this accident, I had been training (running, weights, intervals etc. preparing to race in my 1st triathlon).

Then the pneumonia set in. If you have never had pneumonia, trust me you do not want it (think Asthma & not being able to catch your breath). My breath was literally gone and so was any hope of doing cardio exercise. I recovered from the pneumonia but was short of breath and having pain throughout my back due to the car accident and thought “I need to do something about this”!

At this time, I began training again. When I started I could not even run a mile without stopping to catch my breath. This initial time was really bad. I needed a goal to work for and picked the Oshkosh Triathlon which had been a long goal of mine going back 4 years.

If you are truly unfamiliar with what PRO212 is click here to find out. Trust me, it is worth a look (you decide)! If you like what you see and want to get involved with our team, we are building and open to that.

We have all heard that there are 7 degrees of separation. Well with PRO212 there is 1 degree of separation.

PRO212TriSports (Swimming, Cycling, and Running)

PRO212MotorSports (If it has a motor & is fast, we like it)

PRO212ExtremeSports (Includes any sport that involves the risk of injury)

PRO212OutdoorSports & PRO212CasinoSports are in the works

You are here because someone you know or have connected with is a Player or Fan of the PRO212 team and chose to get involved.

We are always open to fans, players, sponsors, investors, recommendations, feedback, and relevant content. Contact us HEREif you would like to get more involved.

Thanks to all the chemicals and toxic garbage found in our food, air, and water our glandular system is weak and crippled. These vital glands are not functioning at 100% and that’s why so many people today are depressed, over weight, have no energy, and get sick all the time.

They don’t have any juice!

The Master Cleanse restores these vital glands and gets them working like they should, and you won’t believe what a difference it makes!

Every cell of your body will be bathed with these restoring and feel good hormones. Your metabolism, your mood, your sex drive, your energy levels, and many other important bodily functions will be restored to where they should be.

You’ll be charged up and bursting with energy!

With all that can be had by spending just 10 days on the Master Cleanse you’re probably wondering what the catch is. The truth is the original Master Cleanse was absolutely grueling to get through, most people don’t last one day on it.

But a lot has changed in the past 50 years since the original Master Cleanse was first introduced, and now you don’t have to suffer with the old way of doing the Master Cleanse.

Five Easy Steps to Staying Motivated

Motivating yourself should not be something you do only when the spirit moves you. It’s an ongoing process that should include every facet of who you are. This means your mental attitude, physical well-being and appearance, work atmosphere, your interaction with others (clients and employees alike), and your off-the-job environment.

Motivational experts get paid big bucks to tell professionals, striving for success, that they must constantly examine these factors. How do you do that? Follow the 5 tips that follow, and watch the changes.

1. Maintain a Positive Attitude –

Let’s realize that life is only 10% of what happens to us and 90% how we react to it. We’re responsible for our own actions and attitudes, and changing them when appropriate. When you’re around people/things that are uplifting and positive, you feel that way. You have more confidence in yourself, and know you can change whatever needs changing.

2. Leave Personal Troubles Home -

Everyone has problems, but they don’t belong at work. Turn your attention and energy entirely to your on-the-job tasks. This will actually be good for you because you’ll get a mental break from your troubles

3. Create Positive Affirmations -

The reason for writing goals for your business is the same as creating positive affirmations on paper. What your eyes see and ears hear, your mind will believe. Try it! After you’ve written them down, read them aloud to yourself – and do it every morning when you get into work. You’ll be amazed at what happens. Come up with a set of new ones every month. Statements such as, “I’m an important and valuable person,” or “I know I’ll make good use of my time today.” Repeating them out loud everyday at a set time will help reinforce positive actions.

4. Make Sure Break Times Are Really Break Times -

This is an area where most bosses/entrepreneurs fall down. You become so intense about the project or situation you’re working on that you don’t ease up. Thinking that it’ll be solved in the next few seconds, and then you’ll get a cup of coffee can lead you right up to quitting time. Regularly adhering to a specified break schedule, even if you’re the boss, releases the tension. If you work on a computer this is even a greater problem because before you realize it – you’ve been working in that same position for hours. The best answer to this is to set yourself a reminder on your appointment calendar for every 2 hours, and let the computer reminder chime send you the alert to move around.

5. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise -

I know that lately it seems that “exercise” is the cure-all to every physical ailment or your love life, but despite that there is some truth to that ugly word. By “exercise” I don’t mean that you should go out and join a gym and spend your lunch-time, 3-days-a-week there working out. What is really beneficial and workable is that at those chiming alerts from your computer, get up and walk around your desk or room. Maybe go outside and get the mail and enjoy the sunlight (if you’re an entrepreneur that has a home office), or just get up and do a few stretches. Concentrated, tense thinking – typing – plotting plans – or whatever your work, makes all those muscles tighten up and knot up. Then when we move we “ooh” and “ouch” because we’ve knotted up into a ball of tension. Periodic stretching, even at our desk, or just getting up and walking over to the window and getting a different view can help. One of the greatest disservice modern business décor has done to us, is making our offices pristine, sleek, unencumbered spaces. There is nothing more relaxing than getting up from your desk and walking over to a peaceful, serene, seascape or pastoral painting and just drinking it in visually. Momentarily transporting your mind out of work and into that place does wonders. A few good paintings and less shiny chrome in offices would benefit us all.

It only takes a little concentrated effort on our part to keep motivated and productive, which leads to success. I know you’re going to hate hearing this, but it’s true anyway – and that is, “WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS – MAKE LEMONADE”

I remember when I first came across The Rollies’ Bad News album, almost a decade ago, behind the counter in a Stockholm used-record store. I couldn’t pass up this unique, rough take on the James Brown sound, and I began playing the title track in my DJ sets. It didn’t go over well — it was just a tad too lo-fi for what was then classified as “deep funk” — and I soon retired the tune. I forgot the record on my shelves until some years later, when, upon a chance connection with Toronto-based hip-hop producer (and ’60s and ’70s Southeast Asian music specialist) Jason “Moss” Connoy, he mentioned one of his favorite Indonesian funk bands: The Rollies.

Indonesian! I begged Moss to send me more. He wrangled with the hip-hop-reared beat digger’s code of secrecy, but somewhere along the way in this existential battle, he relented. What he sent — in spurts, as Moss is the manic type — drove me mad. Relentless fuzz. Over-the-top, politically charged lyrics. Cranky lo-fi music as close to Rare Earth protégé Power of Zeus as to that of South Korean psych-god Shin Jung Hyun. When Moss sent me Shark Move’s “Evil War,” I recognized the marching drum-and-bass break: Madlib had recently sampled it for a song he was working on with Detroit-reared drummer, producer and rapper Karriem Riggins. I asked Jason how likely it would be for me to clear the sample with the band, and he laughed and told me he was in direct contact with the leader of the organization, Benny Soebardja.

One thing led to another — the way things often do on the circuitous record-collecting circuit — and, before we knew it, Moss, Benny and I were working on an anthology that would show the breadth and depth of Indonesia’s ’70s scenes. Along the way, we met up with a young Indonesian expat, Chandra Drews (now based in Holland), and he added a cultural context to the musical analysis we were undertaking. That anthology — Those Shocking Shaking Days — will see release early next year. Here, you can check out some of the great cuts that, for one reason or another, didn’t make it onto the anthology. All great, they serve as a proper cross-section of the progressive, and oftentimes underground, ’60s and ’70s Indonesian rock scenes.

MORE
